How to buy pre-owned running shoes safely.

A short checklist for finding a good pair and arranging a confident meetup.

Read the listing with fit in mind

Check the stated size system, condition, photographs and meetup location before you message. If the fit or wear is unclear, ask the seller for the detail you need rather than guessing.

Useful questions include where the shoes were used, whether there is uneven outsole wear and why the seller is passing them on.

Meet in public and inspect first

Arrange to meet in a public place. Look at the upper, heel counter, outsole, midsole and size label. Try the shoes on if practical and make sure the pair matches the listing photographs.

RePace does not collect payment or guarantee a sale. Payment is arranged directly between buyer and seller only after you are satisfied with the shoes.

Trust your judgment

Do not feel pressured to proceed. If the listing, conversation or meetup does not feel right, it is fine to walk away. You can also use the report and block tools in RePace when needed.
