1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using RePace, creating an account, publishing a listing or messaging another user, you agree to these Terms of Use and the linked policies. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
RePace provides a platform for people to discover listings and communicate. RePace is not the buyer, seller, agent, payment provider, delivery provider, escrow provider or authenticator for a transaction between users.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create and operate a RePace account. You must be able to enter into a legally binding agreement and comply with applicable laws. RePace is intended primarily for people using the service in Singapore.
3. Accounts and account security
You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. Do not create an account in another person’s name, share access, or use the service to impersonate someone else.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. Keep your sign-in method and any device used to access RePace secure, and tell us promptly at hello@repace.co if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
4. Permitted use
Use RePace only for lawful, genuine marketplace activity and in a way that does not interfere with the service or other people’s use of it.
- Do not scrape, copy, reverse engineer, disrupt or attempt to bypass the service’s security measures.
- Do not send spam, unsolicited promotions, scams, malicious links or deceptive communications.
- Do not use another user’s personal information except as reasonably needed to discuss a listing or arrange a direct transaction.
5. Publishing and managing listings
A seller may publish only items they own, possess and are legally entitled to sell. Sellers are responsible for a listing’s title, images, size, price, condition, ownership, authenticity, legality and availability.
Use photographs of the actual item, not stock photographs presented as the item for sale. Disclose material defects, repairs, odour, heavy wear, missing components and other information a reasonable buyer would want to know. Update, pause or remove a listing if it is no longer available.
6. Buyer and seller responsibilities
Buyers should read a listing carefully, ask sensible questions, inspect the actual item before paying and make their own decision about whether to proceed. Sellers should respond honestly, communicate clearly and not pressure another user.
Each user is responsible for their own conduct, promises and arrangements. A completed message exchange or accepted offer does not make RePace a party to any sale.
7. Direct transactions, payments and meet-ups
Buyers and sellers arrange payments, collections, deliveries and meet-ups directly with each other. RePace does not process payments, hold money, provide escrow, arrange delivery or take possession of items.
Meet in a public place where possible, inspect the footwear carefully and be cautious about advance payments. You decide whether and how to transact, and you accept the risks of arrangements made directly with another user.
8. No authentication or endorsement
RePace does not own, inspect, authenticate or take possession of listed products unless RePace expressly states otherwise for a particular service. We do not guarantee a listing’s authenticity, condition, legality, safety, availability, seller identity or suitability.
A listing, profile, review, message, rating or other content does not amount to RePace’s endorsement, recommendation or guarantee of a user or item.
9. User content and intellectual property
You keep ownership of the content you submit, including listing text and photographs. You give RePace a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt for technical display, and show that content as needed to operate, promote and improve the service.
You must have the rights needed to publish your content. Do not upload content that infringes another person’s intellectual-property, privacy or other rights. RePace’s name, branding, software and original content remain the property of their respective owners and may not be used without permission.
10. Disputes and reports
Users should first try to resolve a concern directly, calmly and safely. RePace is not required to resolve disputes between users, determine who is correct, or compensate either party.
You may report a listing or user using the report controls available in the marketplace or a conversation. You can also contact hello@repace.co with supporting information. Do not make knowingly false reports.
11. Restrictions and termination
We may remove or edit access to content, restrict features, suspend or terminate an account, or take other reasonable action if we believe these terms or our policies have been breached, if required by law, or to protect users or the service. We may do so without prior notice where reasonably necessary.
12. Platform availability
We aim to keep RePace available, but the service may be changed, interrupted, limited or discontinued from time to time. We do not promise that it will always be available, error-free, secure or compatible with every device.
13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RePace is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. RePace disclaims warranties that are not expressly stated in these terms, including warranties about users, listings, transactions, content, uninterrupted availability or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RePace and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss arising from a transaction, meet-up, payment, collection, delivery, listing, user content or another user’s conduct. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you will indemnify RePace and its operators against claims, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses arising from your use of RePace, your content, your listings, your direct arrangements with another user, or your breach of these terms or applicable law.
15. Changes and Singapore law
We may update these terms or the service. The latest version will be posted on RePace with a revised Last updated date. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Subject to any mandatory law, Singapore courts have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes connected with these terms or RePace.
16. Contact
For a question about these terms or to report a policy concern, contact RePace at hello@repace.co. RePace is operated by [Legal business name].
